Beijing R&D Center in China was founded in March 2010, in order to strengthen R&D activities of electric power system focusing on ultra-high voltage GIS (Gas Insulated Switchgear) and HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current), and to secure competitiveness of businesses in China. The Center employs Chinese talented people, completes LS product line-up in China which is the biggest manufacturer and market for ultra-high voltage products over the world, and performs R&D to secure global competitiveness.
The Center cooperates with R&D Center in Korea to cover wide range of technical fields of system business, i.e., ultra-high voltage GIS and HVDC, as well as constructs a network of technological cooperation and performs joint R&D along with conspicuous colleges and expert research institutes in China.
